March Update

My debut supernatural thriller novella Ethereal Malignance has completely finished developmental editing, and is now in the hands of my copy editor. I expect to have an update on this book’s progress in May.

You might be interested in reading the book review I wrote for Ghost Bird by Lisa Fuller, an Aboriginal author who wrote a young adult horror/mystery novel set in a small Australian town that backs onto bushland in the 1990s.

Also, if you missed my speculative thriller short story Don’t Go Back, be sure to check it out!

I also have three short stories I’m working on at the moment:

  • Ethereal Allurance is a supernatural thriller short story set before my debut novella, and will give you a good sense of what you can expect from Ethereal Malignance. I’ve received it back from my copy editor and I’m going through his edits now. Once I’ve completely finalised this step in the process, I’ll be checking with some beta readers before sending it to a proofreader. I expect to have this out within a few months, but the exact timing will depend on when Ethereal Malignance comes out.
  • I’ve written a horror short story for a competition. It’s on its fourth draft now. I’ll give an update on this one (including its title) when there’s something to update.
  • I’ve also written a speculative fiction piece of flash fiction (shorter than a short story). It’s on its second draft now. I’m not sure if I’m going to enter this into competitions or just release it to my mailing list when it’s done. I’ll let you know (including the title) once I know what my plans are for it.

That’s all I’ve got for now. Remember, if you want to receive my email newsletters, just sign up.
